Mirrors Made to Fit Teaneck Rooms

The mirror above the vanity is usually the one thing in the bathroom nobody chose. Builder grade, cut to a catalog size, clipped up and forgotten. A custom mirror works the other way around: we measure your wall, your fixtures and your trim, then cut glass to those numbers and finish the edge the way you want. Vanity mirrors, full-length pieces and mirrored walls, measured free in your Teaneck home.

How We Make It

Your Wall Is the Template

Three things determine how a mirror turns out: the dimensions, the edge and the mounting. Dimensions come from measuring the real wall, which is never quite the number on a drawing, and from working around outlets, sconces, tile lines and trim. The edge is a choice. A polished edge is clean and modern and disappears into the wall. A bevel catches light along the border and suits a more traditional room. Either way there is no raw cut glass left showing and no plastic clip doing the job of real hardware.

Hanging it is its own job. A full wall of mirror carries real weight, and glass that size is unforgiving: a hair out of level and the whole room looks tilted. We pick the backing and fasteners for the wall type and the load, then set the glass ourselves rather than leaving it to someone else's crew. Cutting and edging both happen in the Lodi shop before anything comes to the house, so the piece that shows up already fits the space we measured. Most mirror installs wrap up in a single visit.

  • Cut to the wall we measured, not a catalog size
  • Polished or beveled edges, never raw glass
  • Vanity, full-length, wall and workout-room mirrors
  • Cutouts worked around outlets, sconces and trim
  • Backing and fasteners matched to the wall and weight

The Mirror That Came With the House

Teaneck's older houses have wall space that catalog mirrors were never sized for. A center-hall colonial has a stair wall and a long hallway. A Tudor has a bathroom whose vanity is not a standard width. Cape Cods have small rooms where a well-placed mirror is the difference between tight and comfortable. In all of them a piece cut to the actual wall looks intentional, and a rectangle that misses the width by two inches on each side looks like exactly what it is. That gap is the whole reason to have glass cut.

The rest of the house asks for mirror too. If a split-level's lower level becomes a workout room, a mirrored run along one wall changes how that space works. We size it to the run you actually have. Bedrooms want a full-length piece sized to the door or the closet wall rather than something leaned in a corner. We measure all of it on one free visit to your Teaneck home, cut the glass in Lodi twelve minutes away, and install with the edges finished and the panels lined up cleanly. Seams get planned, not improvised.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, that is a routine request. Those large sheets are typically held with adhesive and metal clips. We take the old one down, measure the wall properly, then cut a new piece to the size you actually want with a polished or beveled edge instead of bare glass. No tile work is involved, and the room looks current again for what is really a one-piece change.

Size does most of the work in that number, followed by the edge you choose and whether the piece needs cutouts for outlets or sconces. A vanity mirror and a full mirrored wall are different projects entirely. We do not quote larger glass off a photo alone, so the free in-home measure is the honest starting point. Text Jessica the rough dimensions and she can point you in the right direction.

We do. A workout wall usually takes more than one panel, so the layout matters: where the seams fall, how the run lines up with the floor and whether anything has to be notched around an outlet or a beam. We measure the wall, cut the glass in Lodi, and install it with backing rated for the size and weight so nothing shifts over time.

Look at the room. A polished edge reads clean and quiet and works with modern fixtures and simple trim. A bevel adds a visible border that catches light and sits comfortably in the older, more detailed rooms found in Teaneck's Tudors and colonials. Neither gives up anything in durability. We bring samples to the measure so you can hold them against your wall.

Generally one to two weeks from the measure to the install. Cutting and edging happen in our own shop on Industrial Rd in Lodi, which is what fills that window. Smaller vanity pieces can move faster; a multi-panel wall takes more prep and planning. Give us the date you are aiming at when we measure in Teaneck and we will schedule around it.

Come by the Lodi showroom at 80 Industrial Rd, about twelve minutes from Teaneck on Route 4, where you can compare polished and beveled edges in person, Monday to Friday nine to five and Saturday nine to four. Our Midland Park showroom at 108 Greenwood Ave is farther north and open by appointment. For most mirror jobs, though, the in-home measure is the simpler place to start.
