Sliding Shower Doors for Tight Fort Lee Condo Baths

When a Fort Lee condo bathroom is too tight for a door to swing, sliding glass is the answer. The two panels glide past each other on one slim top track, and nothing ever arcs out into the room. Narrow alcove or glass over the tub, we cut every panel to your exact opening. Start with a free in-home measure, and our Lodi shop is about fifteen minutes west.

How It Works

Two Panels, One Slim Track, Zero Swing

Sliding glass, also called bypass, sets two panels on one track and lets them pass behind each other rather than opening outward. That means no leaf swinging into the vanity, the toilet or the towel bar, which is the entire point in a small room. We build the panels from the same heavy tempered safety glass as our frameless work, so they feel solid, not tinny, and the track runs low and trim across the top of the opening.

Bypass is the right answer for a wide alcove and for glass over a tub, where a swinging door has no safe place to go. The rest is your call: standard clear or low-iron ultra-clear glass, the optional easy-clean coating, and a track and handle finish from our fifteen options. We build the panels in our own shop, and once the glass is ready most installs finish in a single visit.

  • Two panels bypass on a slim top track
  • No swing arc into a tight bathroom
  • Ideal for wide alcoves and glass over tubs
  • Heavy tempered safety glass, not flimsy panels
  • Fifteen track and handle finishes to match

Why Fort Lee

Made for Fort Lee's High-Rise Baths

This is the door Fort Lee's towers were waiting for. The condos and co-ops along the ridge came with compact bathrooms, where a swinging door clips the vanity every time and steals floor you do not have. A bypass door never leaves the plane of the opening, so you keep every inch. For the many units still working with a tub in the main bath, sliding glass gives it a clean, current enclosure without touching the rest of the room.

Getting big glass into a high-rise takes a crew that respects the building, and that is how we work. We are licensed and insured, we work with building requirements, and we bring the panels up cleanly and protect the common areas on the way. We measure in your Fort Lee unit for free, so we see the real opening, the tub height and the room you have before anything is quoted. Prefer to see finishes first? The Lodi showroom is about fifteen minutes west.

  • Built for the compact baths in Fort Lee towers
  • Clean enclosure over an existing tub, no remodel

Frequently asked questions

Yes, about fifteen minutes west. Our main showroom and shop at 80 Industrial Road in Lodi keeps real bypass track samples you can slide, clear and low-iron glass side by side, and the full set of fifteen finishes. We are there Monday to Friday nine to five and Saturday nine to four. Text or call (201) 460-1313 before heading over so someone is free to talk through your opening.

Bypass pricing follows the opening, so there is no posted flat rate. The width of the alcove sets how much glass you need, then thickness, glass type and the track and handle finish move it from there, with low-iron running a bit above standard clear. Once we measure in your home for free, you get a firm, itemized quote, with monthly payment options on the table.

Roughly one to two weeks, start to finish. The free measure and template come first, and the pacing item is our own Lodi shop cutting your glass and prepping the track. Hanging the door is normally a one-visit job. In a Fort Lee high-rise we book that visit around the building's hours and elevator access so it stays smooth. Give us your date and we will aim for it.

Nearly every time. A tub opening is exactly what bypass doors were designed around, since a swinging door there has nowhere safe to go. The track spans the alcove and the panels ride it side to side, staying clear of the room entirely. We confirm tub height, wall condition and true width at the measure, then build the glass to those numbers. Tub enclosures like this are steady work for us in condo buildings.

In a tight tower bath, usually yes. A swinging door needs clear floor to open, and in a compact condo that floor is often taken by the vanity or the toilet. A bypass door never swings out, so you get the full glass enclosure without losing a step of room. If the layout is unusual, we will tell you honestly at the measure which door works best for the space.

Absolutely. The sliders we build share almost nothing with the aluminum framed doors still hanging in a lot of Fort Lee condos. Heavy tempered glass rides a slim, low-profile track, and we keep the framing minimal so the look stays open and current. The no-swing convenience stays. The bulky, rusted frame goes. At the measure we can hold the hardware next to your old door so you see the difference.
