Check Your AreaUsually, yes. A heavy frameless door needs solid backing where its hinges mount, so at the measure we check each wall at several heights and look for that backing behind the plaster. A panel can be cut to follow a leaning wall, and where the hinge wall has nothing solid behind it, the door can often hang from a fixed glass panel instead. Any wall repair is for your contractor to finish before we measure.
It can. Buildings often limit contractor work to set weekday hours, require an elevator reservation and ask for proof of insurance before anyone arrives. We are licensed and insured, so share those rules when you book and we will plan the free in-home measure and the install to fit them. Glass panels are large and heavy, so we will also ask how they reach your unit: elevator size, stair turns and hallway corners all matter.
Yes. At the measure we take numbers past the old frame to the walls themselves; on install day the framed door and its track come out and new frameless, semi-frameless or sliding glass goes in. Pulling a track can leave screw holes or old caulk lines, so we talk through what may show before that day. In Lodi, the new glass is cut and edged to those measurements.
A custom mirror cut to that wall, rather than a stock size chosen to come close. We measure the space between the vanity, the light and any window or cabinet, then cut and edge the mirror in our Lodi shop so it sits where you want it. A frameless mirror with polished edges keeps a small bath feeling open, and our antique mirror line suits an older room if you want an aged look.
It often is. Semi-frameless glass uses slim metal in a few places, usually along the walls, and that wall metal can absorb a small lean that frameless panels would need custom cuts to follow. You keep much of the open look of frameless glass in a bath where the walls are not true. Glass samples and hardware finishes for either style can be seen by appointment at our Midland Park showroom.
