For hall baths built around a tub, Accurate Glass & Mirror replaces worn framed doors and sizes new sliding or hinged glass to the alcove, leaving the tub, tile and plumbing as they are. Ho-Ho-Kus sits about 7 minutes from our Midland Park showroom, and an appointment there puts glass, hardware finishes and samples in your hands before you choose.

Call (201) 507-5918 before heading to our Midland Park showroom, 108 Greenwood Ave: it runs by appointment and sits about 7 minutes from Ho-Ho-Kus. You will find glass, hardware finishes and samples there, and a photo of your tub, its current door and the walls around it lets us talk through sliding or hinged glass with your alcove in view. Our main Lodi showroom, about 20 minutes away, is where the full enclosure displays sit alongside a glass-and-finish selection wall, with weekday hours running 9 to 5 and Saturday hours 9 to 4, no appointment needed.

A tub between three walls was the standard hall bath for decades, and it is still the room a tub door is made for. According to Census Bureau estimates for 2020 to 2024, the median home in Ho-Ho-Kus was built around 1957, when that layout was typical. Where that tub is still in service, replacing a tired framed slider, or finally retiring a curtain rod, changes the room without touching the tub.
Detached single-family houses make up about 88 percent of homes here in Census Bureau figures for 2020 to 2024, so a measure usually means a house visit with no building rules to schedule around. Age matters more: walls and tub ledges that have settled for decades are rarely perfectly plumb or level. A framed door absorbs differences inside its metal channels, while frameless glass has no frame to hide a gap, so each panel is cut to follow the walls as we measured them.

"I highly recommend Accurate Glass and Mirror. Just finished a job with them to have decorative glass inserts put in some cabinet doors. They were so patient with my indecisiveness and walked me through many options."
"Everything was communicated flawlessly and Andrew and Shawn texted us that morning with their exact ETA. The project was completed in a few hours with absolute perfection. Every square inch of our bathroom was covered with quilting for protection."
"We had a great experience working with both Jessica and Jillian. They were extremely responsive and knowledgeable on our options for glass doors. The turnaround for the install was quick and efficient, and the install team was great and attentive in keeping our home clean during the installation process."

Check Your AreaYes, without touching the tub. At the free in-home measure we size a new door to the opening as it stands today; then you choose sliding or hinged, framed, semi-frameless or frameless, and a hardware finish such as brushed nickel or matte black. The new door is tempered safety glass made to those numbers, and our own crew installs it.
Either can work; the choice comes down to your walls and how you like to clean. A framed door has metal around the glass, which forgives uneven walls and suits a traditional room. Frameless uses thicker glass with minimal hardware, leaving fewer edges where soap and water collect, though it depends on an accurate measure because nothing hides a gap. Semi-frameless sits between the two.
Yes. We measure the opening at the top, middle and bottom on both sides, so a leaning wall is caught before anything is cut. On a framed door, the side channels take up small differences; on frameless glass, the panel edge is cut to follow the wall's actual line, so the gaps stay even from top to bottom.
No. A tub door sits on the tub's ledge and fastens to the walls on either side, so the tub, the tile and the plumbing stay in place. What the glass does need is a sound surface to attach to, so cracked grout or loose tile should be fixed before the measure. A tub with a very narrow or sloped ledge is worth a photo first, texted to Jessica for a fast quote.
With soft tools and mild products. Squeegee the glass after showers so water does not dry on it, and wash it now and then with a microfiber cloth and a gentle glass cleaner. Keep steel wool, gritty powders and strong solvents away from it, since they can wear the coating. The coating lets water bead and run off, which makes upkeep lighter, not optional.
Call (201) 507-5918 and choose a time for the free in-home measure. If a rough idea would help first, text Jessica photos of the tub and the walls around it for a fast quote. After the measure you receive a firm, itemized written quote, and once you approve it, the door is made to your numbers and installed by our own crew.
