We take out the old door and put in new custom glass, and the tile stays right where it is. If yours is a rusting framed unit from decades back, or one cloudy panel in an enclosure that is otherwise fine, that is a straight swap for us. The measure is free.
Replacing a shower door is mostly a measuring problem. We take the old unit out, template the opening as it stands today and build the new door to those numbers in our Lodi shop. The tile, the pan and the plumbing all stay put. What changes is the glass: heavier, clearer, hung on hardware in the finish you choose, with none of the pitted aluminum and mildewed vinyl you have been scrubbing.
If the enclosure itself is sound and only one panel has gone cloudy, chipped or broken, we can replace that panel and adjust the hardware around it rather than rebuild the whole thing. Either way it starts the same: we come out, look at what you have, measure free and say which route makes sense. Most replacements go in during a single visit.

The waiting happens before that, while your panels are fabricated in Lodi, about one to two weeks after the measure. So you keep using the shower right up until the day we arrive.
Often not. If the rest of the enclosure is solid, we can build a replacement panel to match and adjust the hardware so everything lines up and seals properly again. We will check the hinges, the seals and how square the opening still is, then say honestly whether a single panel gets you back to right or whether the unit has had its day.
Once hard water has etched into the surface, no cleaner is bringing it back, and that is usually when people call us. The fix is new glass, and this time you can add the protective easy-clean coating so water beads off instead of drying into the surface.
