Englewood Cliffs is a short drive from our Lodi showroom, close enough to see the glass in person before a primary bath is planned around it. We build frameless enclosures in 3/8 or 1/2 inch tempered safety glass, steam enclosures sealed with a transom panel, low-iron panels and custom mirrors, all measured in your home and installed by our own crew.
Our Lodi showroom at 80 Industrial Rd takes walk-ins six days a week, 9 to 5 Monday to Friday and 9 to 4 on Saturday, so there is nothing to schedule. The floor holds full enclosure displays, where thick glass and heavy hardware can be judged at real size instead of from a small sample, and the glass-and-finish selection wall, with finishes from polished chrome to oil-rubbed bronze. Check Your AreaAs large as the opening, the hardware and the way into the room allow, because every panel is cut to your measurements rather than chosen from stock sizes. A heavy door has to stay within what its hinges are built to carry, and a long fixed panel has to pass through doorways and up any stairs. At the free in-home measure, show us the path from the front door, and the itemized quote will lay out how the glass is divided.
It needs an enclosure that is closed at the top, so we seal steam enclosures with a transom panel above the door to keep the steam from escaping over it. Your contractor supplies the steam unit and finishes the tile and ceiling; we measure once those surfaces are done and build the glass to the finished opening. Mention steam when you call, since the enclosure is planned differently from a standard shower.
Yes, and more so as the panels get thicker. Standard clear glass carries a green tint that shows along its edges and deepens with thickness, so a 1/2 inch panel shows more of it than a 3/8 inch one. Low-iron glass strips out much of that tint, which keeps tile and stone closer to their true color behind the glass. Ask about it at the Lodi showroom or at your free in-home measure.
