Quick answer: Over the past few years our team has installed dozens of custom glass projects in Upper Saddle River — frameless shower enclosures, custom mirrors, glass railings, painted-glass backsplashes and a handful of commercial storefronts. The borough is about 14 minutes from our Midland Park showroom, which makes scheduling measures and follow-up service fast. Here’s a tour of recent Upper Saddle River case studies organized by category.

Upper Saddle River is one of Bergen County's most exclusive addresses — a semi-rural borough of rolling, wooded land where zoning keeps lots to an acre or more. Local housing skews toward grand estates and modern custom builds set on wooded acre-plus lots across neighborhoods like East Hill, Anona Lake and Orchard Ridge, and estate-scale primary suites, sweeping interior railings, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and statement mirrors make up the bulk of our install calendar here. If your own project sounds like one of the case studies below, jump to the Upper Saddle River service page or text Jessica from the contact section.

Shower-door highlights

Shower enclosures are our highest-volume category in Upper Saddle River by a wide margin. The borough’s housing mix means most of the work is framed-to-frameless replacements in existing bathrooms rather than new construction — though we do both. A few recent installs that show the range:

20-foot steam wet room in an East Hill new-build

A new-construction estate in East Hill specified a 20-foot wet room as the centerpiece of the primary suite, with a dedicated steam zone behind a full-height glass wall. We fabricated three matched 1/2-inch low-iron panels running floor-to-12-foot ceiling, plus a 36-inch swing door with a steam-rated gasket system. The panels are connected with stainless 3-point fittings only — no clips, no header. Coordination with the framer, plumber and tile installer ran six weeks; the install itself was a single full-day with two crews on site.

Frameless replacement in an Anona Lake estate

A 1990s Anona Lake estate had the era's framed slider — heavy aluminum framing, bronze tint, dated everything. The owners had refreshed the rest of the primary bath with new fixtures and finishes; the enclosure was the holdout. We pulled the old hardware, repaired the substrate, and installed a single frameless inline door with two fixed return panels in 1/2-inch low-iron with brushed brass hardware. The room finally matches the level of the rest of the renovation.

Pool-house enclosure in an Orchard Ridge build

An Orchard Ridge property had a stand-alone pool house with a full bath, including a steam-rated shower. We fabricated a steam enclosure in 3/8-inch low-iron with custom 22-inch matte-black pulls and ran the panels to the 9-foot pool-house ceiling. The pool-house bath gets seasonal heavy use; the spec was built around durability rather than guest-bath minimalism.

Mirror highlights

Most Upper Saddle River homeowners don’t realize how dated their builder-grade bathroom mirror looks until they see it next to a single seamless piece of polished mirror. Custom mirrors are an underrated upgrade — usually less than ten percent of the cost of a shower-enclosure project, and they make the whole room read more finished. Recent examples:

Antique-finish entryway statement piece

An East Hill estate entry needed a single statement mirror — 60×84, mounted at the base of the curved main staircase. The owners wanted an antique silvering rather than a modern bright reflection. We fabricated the panel with a hand-distressed antique-finish silvering, polished edges, and coordinated with the homeowner's framer on the gilt frame. The mirror reads original to the house even though it's brand-new fabrication.

Other glass work

Beyond showers and mirrors, Upper Saddle River keeps us busy with the full range — glass railings, painted-glass backsplashes, glass tabletops, and the occasional commercial storefront:

Sweeping interior glass railing on a curved stair

A curved main staircase in an Orchard Ridge home needed a frameless glass railing that followed the curve. We fabricated nine custom-bent 1/2-inch tempered glass panels — each individually templated to the as-built curve — top-mounted on a continuous walnut handrail with stainless standoffs into the stair stringer. The result is a railing that disappears, leaving only the staircase and the handrail visible.

Why Upper Saddle River chooses AGM

Upper Saddle River is the high end of the high end in Bergen County. New-construction estates are speccing 1/2-inch low-iron as the baseline, not the upgrade. Steam-rated enclosures are now the rule, not the exception. Sweeping interior railings, oversized mirror walls, floor-to-ceiling glass on view-side rooms — these are the projects we look forward to all year. White-glove install, multi-week coordination with the GC, and finish quality that holds up under daily inspection. A few specifics that matter: our Midland Park showroom is about 14 minutes from your door, our crew templates and installs every job in-house (no subcontractor handoffs), and the written quote after the free in-home measure is the price — no fees added at install for site conditions we should have caught earlier.
