Recent glass projects in Norwood, NJ

A small Northern Valley borough of large colonials and expanded splits, Norwood's bathroom projects are usually the centerpiece of a full primary-suite remodel — and the glass is spec'd to match.

Town Spotlight · 7 min read · Updated May 2026

Quick answer: Over forty-plus years installing custom glass in Norwood, our crew has built case-study experience across the town's most common housing types. This post tours recent Norwood highlights — shower enclosures, custom mirrors, glass railings and other glass work — with a sense of what we see here and what to expect when you reach out. For broader town details, see the Norwood service-area page.

At a glance

Norwood is one of those Northern Valley towns where the homes are larger than the street grid suggests — 4 and 5 bedroom colonials, expanded splits, big lots with mature trees, and the kind of bathroom budgets that come with a primary-suite full renovation rather than a single-fixture update. We see a lot of new-construction work here too, in pockets where older houses have come down for redevelopment. Design-driven specs are the norm: 1/2" glass, low-iron as default, matte-black or satin-brass hardware, steam enclosures in a meaningful share of the larger remodels. The crew enjoys these projects because the conditions are usually clean and the designs are well thought through.

Shower-door highlights

Frameless shower enclosures are our highest-volume category in Norwood. Three recent residential installs that show the range:

Frameless wraparound enclosure on Tappan Road

A 1990s colonial on Tappan Road built a wraparound corner shower in its primary bath — two fixed panels meeting at an inside corner, with a pivot door on one face. We fabricated three 3/8" low-iron panels, polished-chrome hardware, sealed silicone joints at the corners. Two-week fab, full-day install.

Steam enclosure in a Walnut Street new-build

A new-construction home on Walnut Street spec'd a residential steam suite during the build. We delivered a sealed steam enclosure with a fixed panel, a frameless door, and a top transom — all in 3/8" tempered, matte-black hinges, brass pull hardware. The home builder coordinated our install during the final-finishes window.

Frameless inline replacement on Summit Street

A 1970s expanded split on Summit Street replaced an original framed slider with a frameless inline door and fixed return panel. 3/8" clear glass, satin-brass hardware, hydrophobic coating added. The old enclosure had been a constant source of mineral spotting; the new one has been clean for over a year.

Mirror highlights

Custom mirrors — vanity, full-wall, entry-hall, home-gym — are the second-most-common project we install in Norwood. A few recent examples:

  • A pair of matching beveled vanity mirrors above a double-sink primary remodel off Livingston Street — 32" wide each, 1" polished bevel.
  • A floor-to-ceiling mirror in a converted dressing room off Piermont Road — single 7-foot-tall panel, polished edges, anchored flush.

Other glass work

Beyond showers and mirrors, Norwood keeps us busy with railings, backsplashes, tabletops and accent work:

  • A frameless glass railing along a renovated outdoor deck off Closter Dock Road — 1/2" tempered exterior-rated glass, stainless point fittings into the deck framing, code-compliant guardrail height.
  • A back-painted glass backsplash in a kitchen renovation near Broadway — one continuous warm-white panel running the full range wall.

Why Norwood chooses AGM

Norwood is about 18 minutes from our Lodi showroom via Route 46 and the Palisades Parkway. The Northern Valley towns we work in regularly — Closter, Demarest, Old Tappan, Harrington Park and Norwood — share enough housing character that our crew can usually walk into a project and know what to expect. The glass goes in the same way it would in Closter or Demarest; what changes is the route to your driveway.
