Steam Enclosure in a 1922 Colonial Revival, Tenafly Line
A 1922 Colonial Revival near the Tenafly line had a renovated primary bath with a dedicated steam shower in the corner. We built a full steam-rated frameless enclosure in 1/2-inch clear glass — sealed transom on a magnetic latch, drip rail along the full perimeter, and heavy gaskets at every joint to keep the room sealed under steam. Polished-chrome hardware to echo the home's restored 1920s fixtures. Steam enclosures live or die on the transom and gasket detail; we run the gaskets long and the transom serviceable so the generator can be reached without dismantling the enclosure.
Curbless Walk-In, Palisade Avenue Custom Build
A 2019 custom build above Palisade Avenue had a primary bath with a 12-foot wet zone — curbless throughout, no door, just two long fixed panels acting as splash guards and an open walk-through. Both panels in 1/2-inch low-iron glass with bottom-clamp brushed-bronze fittings tied into the floor structure. The detail that made it work: a hidden linear drain running the full length of the wet zone so the floor could be sloped almost imperceptibly toward it.

A primary-suite dressing room in an East Hill estate called for a single floor-to-ceiling mirror running the full back wall — 10 feet tall by 16 feet wide. We delivered it as four perfectly aligned panels with hairline butt-joints, polished edges, and Z-clip support hidden behind built-in millwork. From a few steps away it reads as one continuous mirror.
Custom Vanity Mirrors with Brass Channel Frames
A renovated primary bath in a 1916 Colonial Revival had two vanities flanking a tall window. The owners wanted beveled mirrors but with a thin brass channel surround to echo their cabinet hardware. We cut two matching mirrors at 32 by 44 inches, each with a 1-inch polished bevel set inside a custom-fabricated unlacquered-brass channel frame. The frames will patina over time — exactly what the owners wanted.
