Quick answer: Over the past several years, AGM has installed custom shower doors, mirrors, glass railings and back-painted glass throughout Glen Rock, NJ. Below is a tour of recent project highlights — what we built, where, what glass and hardware we chose, and how to start your own project. From our Midland Park showroom on Greenwood Avenue, we're about 8 minutes from Glen Rock.

Glen Rock at a Glance for Glass Projects

Glen Rock is a 2.7-square-mile borough of classic Bergen County colonials, bungalows and split-levels — most built between the 1920s and the 1960s. The housing stock is dense, the streets are tight, and the bathrooms tend to be modest in footprint. Glen Rock also has a meaningful concentration of split-level homes (1950s and 1960s) where second-floor primary baths are notably small, which drives a lot of clever frameless work.

The most common glass jobs in Glen Rock are frame-to-frameless shower replacements in split-level primary baths, sliding bypass doors for tight tub-shower openings, and vanity mirrors cut to fit short or odd-shaped walls. We also see steady demand for custom mirrors in finished basements that are used as gyms or yoga rooms. Our Midland Park showroom is about 8 minutes from Glen Rock via Maple Avenue. In-home measures are typically scheduled within the same week.

Recent Shower-Door Highlights in Glen Rock

Frameless shower enclosures are still our most-requested service in Glen Rock. Here are three recent installs that illustrate the range — from compact frame-to-frameless replacements to larger architectural enclosures. Project locations are described by general area, not exact addresses.

Split-Level Primary Bath on Lincoln Avenue

A 1962 split-level on Lincoln Avenue had a second-floor primary bath with the original framed tub-shower — small footprint, framed sliding panels, and the old metal frame had begun pitting at the threshold. We removed the frame, templated the existing tub deck (out of square, as expected), and installed a frameless 3/8" clear inline panel over the tub with a pivot door. Hardware: brushed nickel. The bathroom reads as a contemporary renovation without any of the tile or layout being changed.

Colonial Walk-In Near Doremus Avenue

A 1928 center-hall colonial off Doremus Avenue had a primary-bath gut renovation. The new shower is a 4'6" x 3'6" walk-in with a fixed inline panel and a single pivot door, all in 1/2" clear frameless glass. Hardware is matte black to complement the home's renovated trim package. The owners did a low-curb tile pan (about 1.5") rather than fully curbless to keep water-management simple.

Bungalow Bath on Hamilton Avenue

A 1924 bungalow off Hamilton Avenue had the original tub-shower with a curtain. The renovation kept the original cast-iron tub (refinished) and added a frameless 3/8" clear inline panel with a tall pivot door over the tub deck. Polished-chrome hardware to match the restored 1920s fixtures the owners brought back. The frameless glass makes the bathroom feel materially bigger.

Recent Mirror Highlights in Glen Rock

Custom mirrors are our second most-requested category in Glen Rock — vanity mirrors, wall-to-wall mirrors in primary suites, and full-wall mirrors in home gyms and dressing rooms. Each is cut from a single sheet (or matched multiple sheets for very large walls) and finished with polished or beveled edges.

Basement Yoga-Studio Mirror Wall

A finished basement off Rock Road was converted into a yoga and Pilates studio. We delivered a wall-to-wall mirror, 8' tall by 16' wide, as four perfectly aligned panels with hairline butt-joints, polished edges, and bottom Z-clip support. Looks like one continuous piece from a few feet away.

Powder-Room Mirror with Beveled Edge

A 1937 colonial near Glen Avenue had a small powder room with an awkward wall above the pedestal sink — only 16" wide between two pieces of trim. We cut a tall narrow mirror with a 1" beveled edge that fit exactly into the available space, finished cleanly without a frame. The bevel adds enough visual weight to feel intentional in the small room.

For mirror specs, edge profiles, and the full process, see our custom mirrors page and our custom mirror wall guide.

Other Glass Work in Glen Rock

On the railing side, we installed a short run of frameless interior railing on a renovated split-level's main stair last spring — two panels at the landing, stainless standoffs into the existing stringer. We've also done painted-glass backsplashes in two renovated Glen Rock kitchens recently — both in warm white, both replacing dated 1970s tile.

Why Glen Rock Homeowners Choose AGM

Three reasons most Glen Rock projects end up with us: proximity (our Midland Park showroom is about 8 minutes away, which means fast measures and easy follow-up visits), 40+ years of local installations (we've seen every kind of older Bergen County bathroom and we know how to template around plaster walls, out-of-square framing and original tile), and in-house fabrication (we cut and finish glass in our own shop, install with our own crew, and never subcontract). Free in-home measures are standard for every Glen Rock project, with no obligation. Most quotes are returned within one business day of the measure.
