Quick answer: Over the past several years, AGM has installed estate-grade frameless shower enclosures, large custom mirror walls, glass railings and back-painted glass throughout Montvale, NJ. Below is a tour of recent project highlights — what we built, what glass and hardware we chose, and how to start your own. From our Midland Park showroom, we're about 17 minutes south of Montvale.
Montvale at a Glance for Glass Projects
Montvale anchors the upper Pascack Valley with some of Bergen County's most polished newer construction — refined colonials and modern transitionals through Pascack Hills, the streets near Memorial Park and the Grand Avenue corridor. Homeowners here expect a master bath that feels like an extension of the home's architectural language: clean sightlines, tight tolerances, no compromises in glass thickness or hardware finish.
The most common Montvale glass jobs are full-bath frameless walk-in showers in primary suites (often paired with steam), large vanity mirrors with polished or hand-cut beveled edges, and the occasional interior glass railing on a renovated open-stair home. Pascack Hills in particular runs heavy on large primary baths with multiple fixture sets — heavier 1/2" glass and premium hardware are standard.
Recent Shower-Door Highlights in Montvale
Frameless enclosures are by far our most-requested service in Montvale. Here are three recent installs.
Pascack Hills Spa-Style Master Bath
A renovated newer colonial in the Pascack Hills neighborhood had a primary-suite renovation with a large curbless walk-in shower and a separate freestanding tub. We installed 1/2" low-iron frameless glass with a fixed inline panel, a 90-degree return and a tall inswing pivot door, finished in polished nickel hardware. The shower included an integrated bench that required a templated knock-out in the side panel — measured on site, cut and finished in our Lodi shop.
Steam Enclosure in a Primary Suite
A newer construction home near Memorial Park called for a full steam shower in the primary suite. We built a sealed top-panel steam enclosure in 1/2" clear with brushed brass hardware and a hinged transom for service access to the steam generator. Steam enclosures are technically demanding — the transom seal and corner caulking have to be perfect or the steam will find its way out.
Transitional Home Walk-In
A modern transitional home off Grand Avenue had a primary-bath renovation with a wide curbless walk-in shower and dual shower heads. We installed 1/2" clear frameless glass with a fixed inline panel, a single inswing door in matte black hardware, and a small fixed transom above the door for steam venting. Matte black was the right call here against the home's contemporary cabinetry and trim.

Custom mirrors are our second most-requested category in Montvale — large primary-bath vanity mirrors, dressing-room mirror walls and the occasional home-gym mirror in a finished basement.
His & Hers Vanity Mirror Set
A renovated primary suite in Pascack Hills had a his-and-hers double vanity setup with two separate sink runs. We fabricated matched 48" x 40" polished-edge mirrors on hidden Z-clips with a 1/2" reveal at the wall. Matched dimensions and edge polish were essential — small variations would have been obvious side-by-side.
Dressing Room Mirror Wall
A primary-suite dressing room in a newer custom build called for a floor-to-ceiling mirror wall behind a built-in island — 9' tall by 14' wide. We delivered as three matched panels with hairline butt-joints and polished edges, with hidden bottom Z-clip support behind the island. Reads as one continuous sheet from the bedroom side.

Other Glass Work in Montvale
One recent Montvale project worth flagging: a frameless interior glass railing on a renovated open-stair foyer in a newer colonial (1/2" tempered panels with brushed stainless standoffs into the existing newel post and balustrade). Glass railings on open-stair foyers are a nice way to keep sightlines through to the main living area without compromising on safety code. We've also fabricated several back-painted glass kitchen backsplashes for Montvale renovations. For railings, our glass railings page covers code, cost and design.
