Wood-Ridge is mostly small-lot residential — 1930s and 1950s two-stories, plus the newer Wesmont development on the former Curtiss-Wright site. The older homes typically have tight bathrooms that benefit from frameless glass; the Wesmont townhomes are larger and we see more high-end primary-bath work (steam, low-iron, brass) there. We're eight minutes away from any address in the borough, which means we can usually be on site for a measure inside a week.
At a glance
- Drive from our Lodi showroom: ~8 minutes via Route 17 or Valley Boulevard
- County: Bergen, NJ
- Most common project: frameless inline replacements in 1930s–1950s two-stories
- Growing category: mirror packages and steam enclosures in the Wesmont new-build development
- Typical timeline: 2–3 weeks from quote to install for residential; faster for time-sensitive commercial work
Shower-door highlights
Shower enclosures are our highest-volume residential category in Wood-Ridge, and the variety of housing here means we see a wide spread of styles and footprints. Recent examples:
Frameless 3/8″ inline door in a Hackensack Street two-story
A 1930s two-story on Hackensack Street had a 60″ tub-shower with the original 1950s framed slider still in place. We pulled it, repaired the substrate around the old anchor points, and installed a 3/8″ frameless inline door with brushed nickel hardware and our standard hydrophobic coating. Two-week turnaround from quote to install.
Wesmont steam enclosure with brass hardware
A Wesmont primary bath wanted a fully sealed steam shower with brass hardware to coordinate with the rest of the suite. We fabricated 3/8″ clear glass to seal to the ceiling, with a transom vent and a custom 24″ brass pull. The whole package took three weeks; the result reads like a high-end resort bath.
Compact corner enclosure on Center Street
A small primary bath on Center Street had a 36″ × 36″ neo-angle corner footprint. We installed a custom three-panel neo-angle enclosure with a center pivot door, all 3/8″ glass with polished chrome hardware. Neo-angles are one of the trickiest shapes to template — and one of the most satisfying when the install is dead-on.
Mirror highlights
Custom mirrors are an underused category — most homeowners don't realize the upgrade until they see one done at the right size, with the right edge treatment. Two recent Wood-Ridge examples:
Wesmont primary-bath beveled mirror
Two matching 26″ × 38″ beveled vanity mirrors over a double-sink vanity, 1″ polished bevel, hidden Z-clip mount. The customer wanted no visible hardware and a soft edge — the bevel does both.
Full-wall mirror in a converted basement gym
Twelve feet of full-height mirror in a finished basement gym in an older two-story. We anchored with J-channel and brought all panels in through the original bulkhead. Half-day install.
Other glass work
Beyond showers and mirrors, we see steady volume in Wood-Ridge across the rest of our services:
- Painted-glass kitchen backsplash in a Wesmont kitchen — single 7-foot panel in deep navy behind the range.
- Storefront window replacement for a Valley Boulevard retail tenant — tempered panel and re-glazed transom.
- Glass railing on a Wesmont second-floor loft — frameless 1/2″ panels with stainless standoffs.
- Glass tabletop for a custom dining base from a local woodworker — 3/8″ tempered, polished edge.
Why Wood-Ridge chooses AGM
Wood-Ridge is small, dense, and only a short drive from Lodi — we can be on a measure quickly and back for install on a tight schedule. The mix of older two-stories and newer Wesmont construction means we do both ends of the spectrum here. We field-measure, fabricate, and install with our own in-house crew — no subcontractors, no warranty pass-the-buck — and we've been doing it across Bergen County and North Jersey for over forty years.
